The ŁUKASIEWICZ Research Network - The Institute of Heavy Organic Synthesis "Blachownia" (Polish abbreviation - ICSO) is an R&D centre working within the field of organic chemistry. Since 1952, the Institute has been a successful partner for domestic and foreign contractors developing, implementing and improving chemical processes, production and sale of branch products. ICSO belongs to the top research units in Poland (category A, granted by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education). ICSO carries on R&D and implementation works within the scope of chemical sciences, performs chemical research, tests and analyses. NOTIFICATION ON THE TRANSFORMATION OF INSTITUTE OF HEAVY ORGANIC SYNTHESIS "BLACHOWNIA" INTO THE INSTITUTE OF THE ŁUKASIEWICZ RESEARCH NETWORK

 

Due to the Act of February 21st, 2019, on the Łukasiewicz Research Network, which entered into force on April 1st, 2019, Institute of Heavy Organic Synthesis "Blachownia" has been transformed into the institute of Łukasiewicz Research Network.

 

The Łukasiewicz Research Network - Institute of Heavy Organic Synthesis "Blachownia” assumes all the rights and obligations the entity had before the transformation (Art.101 par.1 of the Act of February 21st, 2019 on the Łukasiewicz Research Network).

Patent for success

In the comparison, prepared by Republic of Poland Patent Office (including: chemical engineering, environmental protection technologies, high-quality compounds chemistry), ICSO “Blachownia” placed six (with application number amounting 103) among the most active subjects applying for patents for inventions and utility models in years 2012-2017. At the same time, it is the highest place for research institute. Before us are: Wrocław University of Technology, West Pomeranian University of Technology, Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences, and Technical Universities from Łódź and Poznań. Top 10 - Women Creators

Among the 10 most active women creators, who during the years 2013-2017 applied for patents for inventions and utility models, according to Republic of Poland Patent Office comparison, Mrs. Renata Fiszer, ICSO’s patent attorney, placed third, with the number of applications amounting 58.
